    Evaluation of refurbishment opportunities for underground trains for Metrovías in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our project also included proposals for training for maintenance personnel and an organisation for providing spare parts.

    Hire and purchase of commuter coaches
    Customer: SL
    Hire and purchase of Danish commuter train coaches for operation in Stockholm. The project encompassed everything from inspection of the coaches to negotiating the contract with DSB.

    Breakdown investigation in Denmark
    Customer: Alstom Transport
    Winter 2002/2003 saw a few days with extremely cold, snowy weather in the Copenhagen area. This resulted in derailments. Travel Design carried out a breakdown investigation to ascertain the causes. The derailments were due to ice-forming in the bogies. Travel Design suggested modifications eliminating this type of problems.

    Panorama coaches
    Customer: TGOJ Trafik
    Panorama coaches were earlier used in the European TEE-trains, “Rheingold” and others. TGOJ Trafik owns one of the five original panorama coaches. Travel Design was contracted for the new interior concept and the exterior design. The coach is used for conferences and other special arrangements

    Worlds first Biogas train
    Customer: Euromaint Rail
    The worlds first biogas propelled train is in operation. Our assignment consisted of project management, safety analyses, authority approvals, engineering, documentation and training regarding the vehicle as well as instructions for additional safety installations in the maintenance workshop. EuroMaint carried out the refurbishment of the earlier diesel unit class Y1

    Design and manufacturing of coupler hatches for Alstom AGV

    Travel Design supported Dellner Coupler with design, analyzes, manufacturing and assebly of the automatic coupler hatches for the AGV.
Authority Approval
    Authority approval of suburban trains for Stockholm
    Customer: Alstom Transport Deutchland GmbH
    Travel Design has in cooperation with Alstom, performed the structure and the execution of the authority approval processof the new suburbian train class X60 to the Swedish authorities .
